That's awesome this forum has a fitness section too.
I was at the gym today and had a conversation and someone recommended eating a decent amount of sugar twords the end / immediately after workout, specifically dextrose... He said his choice was gummy bears (lol)

Thoughts? Is this good advice? Explanation? He explained I want to see if others explanation matches.

Taking my protein shake with amino and bcaas right when i get home too btw obviously

My personal opinion: Retarded broscience. But if you want to use it as an excuse to grab some gummy bears after a workout, go for it.

Carbs after a workout with caffeine increases the ability for a body to replenish glycogen stores. (Look it up if you want. Actual studies and not from bodybuilding.com)

However eating rice and eating a bag of fucking gummy bears is two different things.

But hey, if eating a bag of gummy bears or whatever after your workout is what you wanna do and it works for you, go for it.

BCAAs are a waste of money, glucose-fructose in gummy bears is not the same as dextrose, eating sugar at the end of a workout is pretty useless. eat something substantial if youre going to eat. dont waste your time on garbage simple sugars
