i'm looking to nuts for protein in a snack to keep me full (the hunger gets to me sometimes with my veggies and chicken lunch/dinners) and couldn't afford the almonds
The primary macronutrient in nuts is generally fats. So, factor in however many grams of fat you are eating with said nut, along with whatever smaller amount of protein and carbohydrates you are also consuming.
Combine that with your other caloric intake and you will have a rough estimate of your total energy consumed.
Place that against your energy expelled and ensure that it is the lesser amount.
Span these simple mathematics into a 6 month period and you will see tremendous results.
