Seated dumbbell shoulder press has never been my strong point. I struggle to get a set of 10 w/ 75lb dbs. I've never even tried more than 85s.

This random at my gym is very similar to me in every way. Similar weight, body type, bench, and squat. He can rep 110lb dbs with shoulder press, and doesn't even need a spot to get them up. wtf? I don't get it.

How is your shoulder press? Is there any other lift in particular that helped significantly?

25kg here
55lbs

About 12 reps, 20 if I go really nuts.

I don't know, just throw them up in the air like you just don't care. If you need a spot for this movement, you should go lighter.

I think at my best I could do 55s for a few reps. Now probably 40-45s

I'd say shoulders are a strong point for me. Instead of sitting completely straight up, try doing it like inclinded db bench press, except incline the fuck out of it.

Idk if that makes sense lol

So turn shoulder press into incline dumbbells to hit chest rather than shoulders?
