Hey guys I got whey proteins from optimum, Ive used like half of it and stop lifting 3 years ago.

Are they still good to consume? Due date was like 6 months ago.

Also have fish oil and optimen vitamins of the same age.. Does anyone know if I can I still take these?

Thanks

The protein *probably* went bad if it was exposed to air. If you've ever sniffed your protein shaker after leaving it overn8 in your gym bag, you will question the longevity of protein :P Oils can go rancid, especially if exposed to light or high temperatures. Vitamins essentially decompose, but usually slowly if they are kept under ideal storage conditions.

If a product goes over an expiry date, it is at your own risk to even consider taking it.

A LOT of stuff is fine to take if it's over expiry, but I'm not giving any advice to take anything that is expired (just in case).

My mate gave me some out of date protein ( about 6 month out of date)

it taste a bit stale but other than that its good to go, i have used it for about 3 weeks now, still alive and well :)

Did plenty of research on google and everyone says its fine to use it
