It's actually just what happens as part of aging. In most people, production of lactase during infancy is normal because we need something to breakdown lactose in our mothers milk. Lactase production is stimulated by chronic intake of lactose so as long as there is a substrate available, ie the lactose, that is being consumed regularly you will still produce lactose to some extent. As you age you tend to produce less and less lactase over time and your lactase production will especially drop off if you stop drinking milk or consuming dairy products.
Just didn't realize it would come on so fast, it's so painful I can barely walk around, I'm at the gym last night... standing there in agony. The only thing I ate before going was yogurt+ Granola and a clif bar and some pre workout. I know its not the pre workout cause I've been on for awhile.
My sister is lactose intolerant since birth and I'm pretty sure it's a hereditary thing, could be just my time to get it lol
