the way you're able to focus on such long responses on d2jsp about a doctor not giving you what you suggest (lol u got ur phd now?)
and then act like nothing will work unless you get adderrall
ur problem isn't chemical
u legit suck st focusing and need to work on it
but u got in ur head adderrall will fix ur problems
ur pill seeking and fucked
Rude.
I would guess the term "pill seeking" refers to someone who is looking for medication for the wrong reasons? I wouldn't be interested in adderall XR if it didn't seem efficacious.
In terms of ADHD medication, there are statistics that support 33% responding well to methylphenidate, 33% responding well to adderall, and 33% responding well to both or something else. There are other more recent statistics that show that adderall is a more successful form of treatment over methylphenidate, but that is more-so based on the number of prescriptions... this may not reflect treatment of symptoms, rather than patients just seeking something they can 'feel'.
ADD-inattentive doesn't mean that someone cannot focus. In fact, hyper-focusing on obsessions or things of interest that release dopamine easily (quick rewards) is common. So, for example, researching about medications, reading about them, and posting on forums, is a very easy task. I'm not being tested, I'm not memorizing, and the reward is instant. That's just a brief, shitty explanation of how someone with ADD-inattentive may seem to have no focusing issues.
I am currently trialing the biphentin before I trial the adderall. In the end, if my symptoms are not treated, then I'm not interested in the meds.
Believe me, I've practiced focusing. The whole concept behind ADD is that it's not a matter of just practicing focusing. The next step is to see a psychiatrist, because experiencing a multitude of ADD symptoms doesn't necessarily mean one has ADD, that much is true.

Man lol, and you want to study accounting? Gl with that. Do you even have a job? How are you going to work through reports etc if you cannot focus?
One step at a time. Dunno. I love the work though.
