So the first video was posted a few weeks ago, frankly I think it hits the nail right on the head. It's not talking about every millennial of course but i think the vast majority would be accurate. I work in with kids from 11-18 and I see this behaviour every single day. Entitlement. Also these kids don't understand how to accept loss or failure. I see it every single day for the last year in my line of work. But my girlfriend posted the second video, agreeing with this poli sci major dude who's done nothing original in his life and is just nit picking a video made for some youtube likes. I didn't watch the whole thing, maybe half.. a few of his points were poorly worded and actually contradicted themselves, and his view on the first few subjects made me shut it off. none the less ill let you guys decide.
https://www.facebook.com/TheYoungTurks/videos/10154308176229205/I think society has softened over the last 2 decades. People are offended by so much now adays and I don't agree with it. I don't agree with things like participation medals or not keeping score in child sports etc.
I think losing is a vital life skill kids need to learn. You lose jobs, sports, games, people, girlfriends, grades all the time in life, and if you don't learn at a young age to cope and deal with loss, well then you end up becoming depressed (highest amount of medicated youth year was 2016)
Just my opinion, after having worked in this field for a year and having a pretty rough go in my childhood.
