I'm thinking about donating plasma for money
Had a few questions

First, how much money do you get per donation
second, what kind of side effects are there from donating? Fatigue, etc?
third, how often can you donate?

You'll get somewhere between 40-60$ (maybe less)

Donating plasma has the same mild side effects as donating blood. Donating it regularly can weaken your immune system tho.

I got turned down from the place that does it around me. They were looking for a certain rh type and I have the wrong one :(

It's probably for the best for my own health, but that extra cash I could have gotten from just sitting there and studying would have been dope.

Used to do it back when I was in school. Typically it'd pay $20 ea donation unless you donated twice a week. Then they did 20 & 30 for a total of $50 a week. Sometimes theyd have coupons or certain deals.
Make sure to keep your iron and protein levels up. Those are two things they check before every donation. You might notice slightly more fatigue if you're doing it frequently but I wouldn't say it effected me too much. Depends on the person and their own veins, but you might occasionally experience a bad "poke" and might get a hematoma. I got a few throughout the years that made me take a break from it. If you're needing the money I'd say it's worth it. Not too hard to sit there for an hour and pump your hand while doing homework or listening to music. I even used to do some trading on d2 back on the day while I was there.

tldr
1. 20-25 per donation
2. Slight fatigue, necessity of eating a few more cals & water intake, Hematoma possibilities/ slightly sore arm.
3. twice a week max. Body needs enough time to replenish plasma. Not nearly as bad as donating blood since they put your red blood cells back into your body.

Although most donations aren't expected to have any kind of return.. You are still giving a contribution to a cause. They just happen to reimburse you for your time.

What if you are a professional donor? Will you get more money then?
