are they accounting for degradation during the assimilation process or something?

u can piss them out

also pretty sure some recommended dosages are for what they tested for and shit. but some people may metabolize things differently, such as the speed, and may require different dosages

certain people have problems absorbing B vitamins (they only absorb 1% of the dose of b12 due to parietal cell dysfunction etc.) so they need those doses

as said above, theyre water-soluble and get excreted easily... thats why some people prefer timed release formulations

If they have the issue you're referring to then wouldn't they need b12 injections not just higher doses by mouth. Do you have a specific illness or disorder that benefits from very high doses of oral b12?

If people respond to po b12 there's no need to inject

I know. What I was curious about was how common it was where people with intrinsic factor issues are still able to respond to supplements or if he had an example of a disorder that responds to b12 supplements. I'm just curious and he's in med school so he'll know.
