I've heard some pros say things like:
"I stopped training my arms for 2 years because they were getting too big" <-- Coming from a pro whose arms were not very big, that quote being in the name of maintaining "symmetry".
"I want to maintain my abs year-round, I don't buy into the whole bulking thing" <-- Coming from a pro who clearly is attempting to put on size, but is in a very very light weight class & gaining maybe 2 pounds a year.

This guy (Scott Herman) looks fit. He's pro-level physique, with very sub-par arms, his best features probably being his chest, abs, & just overall symmetry.

I used to (and still somewhat do) follow some of his videos. But something struck me the other day... do pros get stubborn and do dumb shit? I imagine Scott Herman could grow a shit ton more if he started taking someone else's advice, even though he's a pro who dishes out advice. But maybe he just has genetics that limit him to where he's at now?

The big problem with people like him who clearly can diet properly and have the initiative and charisma to have a successful fan following, youtube channel, etc... is that they get cocky and think they know it all and aren't humble enough to take advice from people who actually know how to build muscle.

His plateau is just him doing the same shitty workouts over and over and never really pushing hard for bigger weights. I'm sure he could get advice from actual pro bodybuilders. The real ones, not the nearly-fitness class ones.

Well said I think.

It's just sad to see someone with such potential consistently waste their time. His version of maintenance must be brutal...

Not 100% sure I never looked into it. He's a pro youtuber? I assume he has some sort of titles or certification of sorts in fitness... to do with physique?

Last time someone posted a Scott Herman video here, I said something about him being extremely mediocre and how he was a nobody. Then got told I was an idiot by someone. Guess it was a fanboy.

I agree but it depends on what he wants. If he's trying to be a freak beast he is clearly doing it wrong. I think he's just trying to be a bulky aesthetic guy who makes money from posting garbage all over the internet. Just my impression.
