I have multiple accounts / personalities?

I know of 3.

Only 1 turned out to live a fairly productive life (so far), although his girlfriend left him and he has to live with his parents at his early 30's.

The other 2... one is mostly homeless. He used to be my best friend. The other is an asshole & I have no idea where he is now.

I have never known a schizophrenic that has lead a great life, although I hear many people respond perfectly to meds. I imagine someone who is taking medication properly just wouldn't tell others.

Hmm yeah i'm worried about that too, i live with my mom/brother/and moms husband for extra support... I'm worried what will happen after my mom passes....

I take meds too btw, but i still get symptoms/psychosis

I've encountered some weird stuff. I used to want to be a teacher. I encountered a girl who had schizophrenia and wasn't receiving the proper help. It was really sad.

I've also heard of a mother who took medication and couldn't be more normal (my Mom is a principal so I heard about that). So I guess it all ranges.

Meds can only get better over time too so that's a plus My little brother suffers from mental illness, not schizophrenia but severe anxiety and delusional paranoia (stemming from chronic pot usage, spiraled habits, drug experimentation in highschool, and diagnosis of body dysmorphic disorder). He refuses medication. He's pretty fucked at the moment.

Hmm, can i ask what type of weird stuff?

Well, in the case of my old best friend, he looks like a hobo now. He has half a head of hair & that occurred within a year. What hair he has left looks really long and straggly. He makes constant incoherent half-rhyming comments on *Facebook. Regularly. Some are scary enough that you wouldn't want to be in the same room as him. Some comments are really gay, but he isn't gay.

In the case of the girl, she had selective mutism. She would show up to school crying sometimes. Sometimes she would burst out laughing at nothing. She didn't want to eat during lunch, but then would get too hungry and want to eat at random times. She didn't want to participate in anything, even if her Mom brought birthday treats, she wouldn't have any.

Psych disorders are highly misdiagnosed sometimes. Schizo has many different types and so many differentials it can be hard to tell (in regards to also having OCD, BPD, borderline, depression, paranoia, etc.)
