yo. so i took a hair test for a job last thursday oct 7th

some background info and smoking history

asian height 5'11 weight 200lbs metabolism medium

current hair length about 2 inches
last time smoked was july 19th. prior to that smoked twice a week.
company that took test was psychemedics. they took about an inch and a half of hair off my head, leaving about half an inch left. took it from 3 spots.


was told to call the director for the department on tuesday. really stressed out about the results.

you guys think i'll pass?

I know very little about hair follicle testing or how long after you stop a substance that substance will still be produced in the hair but assuming it stops almost immediately, you're going to be borderline.

What is it 1/2" a month average for typical hair growth?

Edit: I've heard it stays traceable in hair for 3 months so you might be just on the cusp of getting away with it

Well it's said to go back 3 months (90days) + depending on the length of the hair they cut.

Paper was published a while ago calling bullshit on hair based drug testing saying there were way too many false responses for it to be accurate
