Alright someone help me out here.

I'm 140lbs and 5'7"... pretty much cooking all my own food now but I'm eating to maintain my weight instead of eating to gain muscle/weight nor do I know if I should be doing that or not. But now that I'm fully in control of what I'm eating and not depending on dining plans etc. I think it's a good time for me to start really thinking about a specific diet.

Also I have no idea what's a good workout routine and what's not. I know my arms are skinny as hell so I need to know how to build there. My stomach is just flat pretty much so I want to eventually have abs so that's a combination of working out and diet. I have a decent routine for abs and core I think but I do it at the end of every workout so I'm not sure if that's a good idea or not.

I don't want to really go for like bodybuilding or anything like that, I'd just like some muscle definition and abs nothing crazy.

As far as diet goes too I'm kind of picky so researching a diet for me seems like impossible. For breakfast I'm all about eggs, ham and a bread product. Sometimes breakfast sandwiches etc. I don't like cereal, any type of oats or like nuts. I also don't snack at all, I just never have but a lot of people recommend some sort of snacks. But it goes back to the fact I don't like any type of nuts at all really. So not sure what I'd replace that with.

I guess I just need some help coming up with a workout plan and diet that'll help me achieve my goals.

If someone could give me some advise it'd be greatly appreciated.

At 140lbs don't worry too much about bodybuilding, you won't pop out during the night, it's a long process.

Calculate your tdee, stay in a caloric sulprus, if you won't eat enough you won't grow.

Pick up beginner program, like fbw that contains basic compound lifts, you want to learn how to bench press and squat. I'd say fbw is the way to go at the beginning, so you can learn patterns and lifts. Sticking to a routine is simple but mandatory, dont do random shit at the gym.

Eating eggs in the morning is fine, now add chicken with rice for lunch and dinner for the rest of your life and you are good.

140 lbs?

Man don't even worry about what you're doing lmao
just lift weights properly and train hard, and eat whatever the fuck you enjoy eating/cooking.

If your goal is healthy, just stick to common sense basic healthy options, meat veggies and complex carb / starch.
