Just starting a thread to track my progress, and to help motivate myself along the way.

I was in an unhealthy relationship that caused me to put on a lot of weight, of which motivated me to lose it, and keep it off.

Here's a picture of me when I was thinner (too thin for my liking as well)

During this time, I was working out with a friend of mine, who's a personal trainer at the gym I go to. I was making what I thought to be great progress, and then they gym I was associated with started treating him poorly and unmotivated me to continue there. I lost motivation to workout for about 6 months. This is where that took me.

After that break, I realized I had literally just wasted so much time - so I wanted to get back into it. And into it I went.

I had always wanted a 6-pack since I was young, and my dad had told me "I tried to get one when I was young and couldn't, you wont get one" so since I was young I always thought I wouldn't be able to - my dad's gene's and mine are very similar, but I didn't let that stop me from at least trying to achieve that goal.

I am about 5'9, 165 lbs currently, and was roughly the same when I started my journey. Mind you I was also fitting into these pants then:

I just tweaked my back a little bit, im not sure if it was from the way I slept, or from doing some traps the other day. My traps are strong in comparison to other parts of my body, and i think I may have tweaked my back a bit while putting the dumbells back on the rack. Hoping to get back to it maybe tomorrow, we'll see how I feel after I sleep tonight. (Had to have a rest day today wasn't feeling great at all)
