I have probably 500-600 pounds of standard free weights I need to get rid of. Moving and can't take them

What is a good asking price? $1 a pound? I've seen everything on the internet from just under $1 per up to like $1.40 per

thinking maybe .75 per for used?

Standard and Olympic are different

2 inch are Olympic, they are more valuable

Sounds about right.

Canadian pricing: About 6 years ago brand new Olympic weights (2.5lb plates to 45lb plates) went as cheap as $0.69 a pound new. At $0.69 a pound, they were shit (chipped easily, and a 45lb plate usually was in a range of 42-44lb. At $1 per pound, you got okay-ish rubber coated stuff that wasn't perfectly accurate. At $1.29 a pound, you got accurate stuff that wasn't rubber coated. At $1.49 - $2 a pound, you could get fairly high quality rubber coated stuff with metal rings for easier sliding onto the barbell. And then proper O-lift coated plates for dropping the bar are even more expensive beyond that. 1-inch plates costed about $0.70 a pound brand new I believe.

mine are in the high quality category so that actually doesn't sound like a good deal.

already have a guy meeting me. selling like 8x 45s for $22.5 per

thinking I underpriced considering a weight is basically a weight and these would cost $50-60 new each (and mine are in good condition)

there aren't too many things you can buy/sell that are literally the same both used and new. weights are one of those things, for sure.

50 cents per lb is cheap, you'll sell whatever you post at that price.
