So they have a scale at the gym (this one) https://www.amazon.com/Tanita-BC-418-Segmental-Composition-Analyser/dp/B000FHZGL6
How accurate are they at measuring Body fat, BMR, Muscle mass etc.

According to the scale my BMR is 2598, but according to apps/calculators I've tried it's 2-2200 (1600 on google fitness). Which one is it?
I'm: 20, 6'5, 218lbs (17%bf if trusting the scale).

I'm just a bit confused because everywhere seems to say different.
If I add exercise and walks I'm burning 4000+ cal/day, 2600 inactive, 800 walking (about 2 hours), ~800 gym (lifting + 30min crosstrainer). Could that be correct?

Right now I'm eating about 1500-2000 cal / day, but should probably eat more if those numbers are true.
What do you think? Don't want to increase my cal intake if it turn out I actually burn more like 2.5-3k / day.

not accurate at all.

Depending on how hydrated you are, the time of day you step on the scale, and other small factors, the results can very quite a bit.

Water dunk tank is really your best bet to finding out bf% etc

As I suspected.

But I guess it's still nice to be able to compare stats on it to before, been a good motivation for my weight loss!
-41 lbs since mid-june
