I've read several opinions over the years, but I still can't get a clear answer as to know if it is good or nah.
If someone could link me to a good article on it or if someone has the knowledge to tell me if it matters or nah, and if yes, why, lmk and thanks in advance !

As a general rule people agree that not eating 2-3 hours before bedtime is the way to go, but going to bed on an empty stomach can be tough.

When you sleep you burn less calories, carb heavy meals tend to be loaded with calories,
thus a low calorie burning state such as (sleep) + a high calorie meal + a quick & large dose of insulin released to absorb all that sugar = weight gain.

Best to eat your carbs in the morning or before a hard workout

It makes zero difference how close to bed yet eat. What does matter is what you ate throughout the day. If you're still deficient in what you need to eat then you should eat it regardless of how close to bed it is. The only downside is that it may be harder to go to sleep right after eating since your body is digesting what you just ate.

You won't gain weight if you go to sleep in a calorie deficit regardless if you eat right before falling to sleep.
