what do you expect to happen from taking that?

step 1, they take your money

step 2, u take pill

step 3, u expect results

step 4, u get no results

re read step 1. and understand this is all that happens

i feel as though that supplement is sorta bullshit. seems sketchy

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3823939/

also there was a class action lawsuit against that company in 2004 i think

Class Action Complaint
Plaintiff Phillip Racies brings this acti

similarly situated against Defendant
Quincy Bioscience, LLC and states:
NATURE OF ACTION
1.
Defendant manufactures, markets, se
lls and distributes Prevagen, a
purported brain health supplement ma
de with the protein apoaequorin.
1
As its

as a light emitting marker “in a broad
range of biological research work at th
e cellular level.” Th
rough an extensive,
widespread, comprehensive and uniform
nationwide marketing campaign, and on
the front of each and every Product
package, where it cannot be missed by
consumers, Defendant represents: (1) that
the Products are “clinically tested” to
“improve[] memory” and “support[]: hea
lthy brain function, sharper mind, and
clearer thinking”; and (2) that Prevagen is
“clinically tested” to “improve memory
within 90 days” (collectively, “the brain
function and memory representations”).
Defendant’s brain function and memory repr
esentations are false, misleading and
reasonably likely to deceive the public.
2.
Plaintiff and his counsel have reta
ined one of the world’s foremost
experts in brain chemistry and an expert
in the field regarding whether and how
substances may or may not affe
ct brain function and memory.
3.
He has evaluated the ingredients in
Prevagen, along w
ith reviewing the
summaries of purported
2
clinical studies that Defendant provides on its Product
packaging and on its website.
He has concluded that: (1
) Prevagen cannot work as
represented because apoaequor
in, the only purported active ingredient in Prevagen,
1
Prevagen is available in regular strength
(10 mg. apoaequorin),
extra strength (20 mg.
apoaequorin) and mixed berry chewable forms (10
mg. apoaequorin) (collectively “Prevagen” or
“the Products”). Plaintiff reserves the righ
t to add additional products upon completion of
discovery.

They are “purported” because th

properly conducted or that the summaries accurate

studies

interesting.

basically it regulates calcium in the brain. from a quick search this is the only valuable thing i could find on that, and it's an experiment on mice:

Quote
The possibility that regulation of Ca2+ levels in brain nerve terminals is altered as the brain ages was examined in synaptosomes from adult and aged Fischer 344 rats. Free intrasynaptosomal [Ca2+]i was monitored with fura-2 as synaptosomes were depolarized with KCl, veratridine and ibotenic acid. With all three depolarizing agents, synaptosomes from aged animals reached higher free Ca2+ levels, and the maximal Ca2+ increases (ΔCa2+ estimated from computer assisted fitting of the curves, ranged from 35% to 80% greater in synaptosomes from aged animals. The total Ca2+ content of the brain and of synaptosomes was also found to be considerably higher in aged than in adult animals. These results suggest that the aging process in brain is accompanied by alterations in both dynamic aspects of Ca2+ handling in nerve endings and the overall content of Ca2+ in the brain and synaptic terminals.

it seems the research on whether or not the supplement does regulate calcium in the brain is not substantial yet, and the effects of calcium in the brain isn't fully understood yet.

would not buy.
