My best friend when he was little was very allergic to lactose, and his parents brought him to a naturopath and they told him to only eat certain foods for 3 months, and now that fucker can drink chocolate milk by the gallon (not sure if it had to do with the naturopath, or maybe outgrew his allergy?)

Just wondering if they'll be able to fix my wheat intolerance/allergy (not lactose cuz half asian genetics D:)
it's so limiting on the foods I can eat and extremely frustrating..

Here are the list of side effects, some don't occur unless i eat a TON of wheat (a whole pizza/pasta etc) I'll list them in the order that they happen.

excessive sweating. anywhere from walking around and just armpit sweat 24/7 all the way to sweat dripping off my face while in a t-shirt standing still in 5 degree weather. (depends on how much i eat the previous day)
excessive urination. anywhere from slightly increased frequency, to having to go every 15-20 minutes desperately.
stuffed sinus (usually only bothers me when i sleep, i feel less rested when i wake up i guess cuz i get less oxygen while i'm sleeping?)

these are all when i eat a TON of wheat the day before, or been consisitenly eating wheat the past few days.
gagging when i get nervous, I won't be able to eat bananas without gagging/throwing up in my mouth (or any other food that grosses me out, or when i'm trying to overeat), sometimes when i set up for squats i'll gag a bunch and if i continue with the squat i'll throw up, i have to reset a bunch of times until the feeling passes.

Until recently I've been able to eat wheat free breads (rye/spelt/pumpernickle) but recently they've been giving me these side-effects aswell. It's getting super annoying, and I just wanna eat pizza and garlic bread again :(

They are absolutely useless from a scientific point of view and most treatments are based on placebo and wishful thinking. Sounds honestly more like a sympathetic response than anything. You should see an allergist, all of those things except for stuffy nose could just be a psychosomatic response to wheat, and a highly active sympathetic nervous system

I've never heard of an allergist =o

by psychosomatic you mean I bring them upon myself? I thought that aswell, that's why I was hoping there was a way to fix it.

they diagnose and treat allergies. might not exist in aus not sure if they have the specialty but you could look for an immunologist if not. or ask a gp. psychosomatic disorders are physical symptoms brought on by psychological factors. if you anticipate a bad reaction from wheat and get nervous after you eat it, your body can produce symptoms related to the anxiety or expectation of issues without there actually being a pathology. sweating, urination and gagging are all classic sympathetic nervous responses. however if you do express an allergic reaction to wheat via blood antibodies you might have a physiological issue.

I'll see if I can find one in about 5 months when I get back from my farmwork.

Some days I won't have any symptoms at all, and then one day I'll have a bit of excessive sweat and have to think back to something weird I ate the day before, and that that might've had wheat in it. Is that still possible to not be a real allergy?

I'm involved in the medical field and naturopaths are a joke.

Go see a real doctor.
