I took my pre-workout on an empty stomach and 5 minutes later my skin felt like it was on fire and I got red blotchy patches all over my body.
Has anyone every experienced this??
The rash is fading slowly now (1 hour later)

Discontinue use and go to your doctor, very likely could be an allergic reaction to your pre-workout. If you had such a rash this time, next time could get worse and lead to anaphylaxis

probably not but somewhat sounds like some peoples reaction to high amounts of beta alanine

whats the exact preworkout so i can lookup ingredients? or post them? check for beta alanine....

either way stop taking it, can be something more serious as cloudkicker suggested

"Properly referred to as the “histamine response”, the beta alanine itch is a completely harmless prickling/flushing sensation that is felt on the surface of the skin after beta alanine use. It usually begins around 15 minutes after consumption and can continue for 30-60 minutes before subsiding"

I'm pretty darn sure it's overreaction to beta-alanine, like noob said. Tingling is normal, and so is blushing, bright red patches could indicate allergy.

Speak to your doctor before continuing to use the product.

yea the bright red patches all over body seems a bit extreme. redness in face is common. but all over, is prob not common.

still curious what the preworkout brand is?
