Yesterday was my first day along with this other girl.
We started out doing 3 mins jump rope followed by AMRAP crunches (1 min) followed again by 3 mins jump rope.
Next, the instructor showed the girl and I how to stand and move about in the conventional boxing stance which we did for about 5 minutes. Once we got that down he showed us how to hold up our hands, tuck our elbows etc.
After that, he taught us how to throw a jab and a cross then we combined moving around with throwing jabs, crosses and a combination of the 2 (shadow boxing).
Next we went to the heavy bag to further practice jabs and crosses (heavy bags FUCK you up, my shoulders and lats are really sore)
After the heavy bag, we used focus mitts to practice jabs/crosses (the girl wasnt a very good partner for this i was kind of like.. bleh.. bc i wasnt getting much out of it)
We went back to the heavy bag and the instructor showed us how to throw a proper left and right hook. After doing that for awhile we finished up doing more abs.
All in all, it was a really good work out and is really fun because youre learning a useful skill. The schedule is 3 days a week for an hour and 15 minutes. Looking forward to tonight

PS: have a blister under my right big toe from all the pivoting i need to wrap it. Also there were like, 7 other people in the class who were farther along in the boxing discipline than the girl and I. The instructor was really good because he was balancing showing the girl and I beginner things and the other people their stuff
