anyone had one of these?
I did a typical leg day yesterday, but woke up today with really bad pain behind my knee.
I'm hoping it's just because maybe I strained the calf muscle a bit, but I really didn't do anything out of the normal.

Super tender behind knee, relatively tender all the way down my calf (on one leg), other leg doesn't hurt at all.
Will be going to the Veterans Affairs clinic on Tuesday if it still feels like this, never had I had pain in this area in years of training.

I actually have a bakers cyst...anytime I flex my hamstring a bulge appears directly behind my knee at the attachment point between hamstring and knee.

I do have patella femoral pain sometimes....but it's not from the bakers cyst. The only thing I think the bakers cyst might be contributing to is tightness behind the knee, but that's because tight muscles are probably compressing it.

Have you been assessed for that cyst or is this a self diagnosis?

First self diagnosed.
Then I saw a sports medicine doctor who looked at it and then brought in a resident to look at it. They both said they think it's a bakers cyst.
Then I got ultrasound and the doctor said it confirmed that it was a bakers cyst.

I was told I could get it surgically removed but that I didn't need to and that if it bursts it will just drain in my leg and go away.

I do however get pain behind my knee when I sit cross legged...so I'm not sure if that's related to the cyst =/.
