so the good news is i've started going to the gym at 7am, the badnews is i'm working in downtown now and every time i go for lunch with co-workers i'm not sure what i should be going for in terms of healthy foods as i can't measure anything in the stuff i'm ordering

if i eat chicken/salmon/beef + vegetables and avoid rice would that work best?

caloric deficit is above the type of food you eat.
Try to eat clean anyway and you should be good.
