I feel super low energy trying to cut a little bit of fat. When I feel this way and then eat I feel much more energized. So I'm not eating enough. Thing is, I'm slowly gaining fat. Ive gained 2-3 lbs of fat over the last 2-3 months. How can I be low energy and food vitalizes me but then I'm getting fat? Or is weakness always going to accompany cutting? I'm literally aiming like 200 calories under maintenance. Ate 2300 today and barely worked out and still feel weak n shitty. Only weigh 163lbs

Or eat and exercise off the excess calories

Did u take into consideration exercise in your maintenance calories?

Try eating smaller meals and if you want to get serious....eat fiber+ fat + carbs/sugars during your main meals.

Go for 4-5 meals a day.

Dont stuff your self with a shit load of carbs. Maybe change to a high fat diet and eat more veggies that has carbs in it.

I'm obsessed with running and feeling weak anytime during the day is just not ok.

I'm so active i can cut 5-15 lbs in 1-2 weeks easy. That's when i experience anger and weakness lol.

-200 calories and being tired is from the diet itself and when you're eating. Not really the -200 deficit

And dude just be like an athlete and eat normally and just run off your excess fat. Play basketball every day for a week or two.

The idea of losing fat by eating less when you're not a body builder makes me cringe.

Just go on runs or hikes for hours each day. Go on a Night run instead of watching tv before bed.

It's so much fucking stress and work going through a calorie deficit of about 100-400 when you can just run off 700 calories in 1 hour lol

yep I ate 2300 and all I did was 3 sets of 15 pulls ups because I felt so lazy. something is off because I should either be eating too much (so I shouldn't feel weak/lazy) or I should feel weak/lazy but be losing fat

I do like to run actually. I just did about 4-5 miles

It just makes my appetite worse though. Like I got done eating about an hour ago and I'm already hungry again. I had 6 ounces of chicken sautéed in a serving of Italian dressing, a can of beets, a hardboiled egg, 2 piece corn on the cob, and 1/2 can of green beans with a little bit of sugar + serving of butter


maybe I need to reset my eating window. I was having problems with waking up too early because I was so hungry so I started doing 8pm to 8pm. On this I end up eating a lot at night from 8-12 and then a small snack around 2 hours after I wake up. also thinking I should up the protein maybe.. but I don't think that would really help with energy much? seems unlikely to energize any more than carbs or fats would. But I get so tired of meat/eggs Ive only been getting about 100g per day

what you do for running diet? isn't a high carb intake best?

are you lifting weights why just running if your cutting?

i felt like that when i tried to cut weight without cardio ... ( lol )

try increasing calories so you have more energy to work out; you will burn off the extra calories by lifting weights and cardio

how tall are you if you are only 163 lbs and trying to lose weight?
