I got neurolept for mine which is I believe a combo of a strong benzo and a painkiller via IV. I just remember being in the surgeons chair and then all of a sudden I was laying in a post on room being woken up by a nurse. Apparently neurolept makes you conscious for the whole thing but you're sedated into calmness and the anesthesia makes you not feel anything so you can talk to the surgeons and respond normally but the amnesic effects of the drug mean you don't remember anything.
ya da eff man...I remember her sticking the IV in me and then next thing I knew I was in a chair in recovery room confused as heck. I literally said "is it time for the surgery yet?" ... what, it's already done? ok then... LOL.
