Hey guys.i was diagnosed a year ago with rheumatoid arthritis and just wondering if any other posters here have it?
Only 18% of RA patients are men and only 2% of that 18% are under age 50. So i doubt anyone here has it, but i still figured i wiuld ask.

Please don't respond and say, "oh i have arthritis in my wrists because lift so much" or "oh i have chronic back pain".

Rheumatoid arthritis is vastly different and is an entirely different beast/animal which affect 270 joints and your mental well-being.

Thanks alot.

If you do have it i have some questions regarding workouts.

How bad is it m9? I've found some broscientific recommendations:

"
Cucumin - either the Life Extension brand or Dr's Best but probably stick with Life Extension brand. Take 1 pill 3 times a day with a meal.

Astaxanthin by Nutrex called BioAstin. Take 1 pill 3 times a day with a meal.

A probiotic. I used Dr Mercola's Complete Probiotics. Take 2 caps on an entry stomach as soon as you wake up a good 20+ minutes before you eat.

It should also go without saying that she should be exercising and stretching as it will help equally as much as the pills above.

Also fish oil which everyone should be taking. "

If it's still pretty bad, look into the peptide 'bpc157' known as a healing peptide which has reversed adjuvant arthritis (rats equivalent of RA).

Oh it's pretty good now and under control.
I'm vegan and am using the mcdougall diet/gluten free
Zero fats and my ccp blood count went from 27 to a 13. My rheumatologist could hardly believe it
Went from 270lbs to 220 lbs and can eun my mile in 6:10 consistently..

Fish oil actually causes me to flare up. Any oils actually flare me up.

I just have to stay away from heavy free weights because my wrists are just so inflamed after my workouts in not even abke to brush my teeth afterwards. I just got to he point of being able to do pushups without being in pain..

Was just wondering if there were any workouts people with RA use. I was thinking of swimming with weighted vest..
I'm not wanting to get big and bulky.

Just lean and jacked, which im pretty close to now.

I don't have RA, but with my colitis, I know the feeling of having your well being/mental health affected, especially when it comes to lifting.

I know some of the medications are similar. Prednisone, remicade, and others I believe.

My inbox is usually full, so if you want someone in a somewhat similar situation mentally, I'm willing to shoot the shit in this thread.

My lifting goals have been completely fucked and I finally realized that I can only do so much in terms of the gym.

So I've decided to go back to trudel's doggcrapp training.
So far so good.
Not much pain in joints afterwards
