i think i got one in my left eye, not sure how i got it. I wear contacts maybe that's why


Anyway, i was wondering how serious they are. Idk how much surgery is but im not insured atm so the hell with that.

No but I work in an optometry office. I'm not too familiar with cataracts, I believe there's a genetic component and I know certain medical conditions like diabetes increase the risk of cataracts forming. I believe you can also sometimes get them from blunt head trauma. Get it assessed by an optometrist/ophthalmologist and they will tell you what needs to happen. You aren't committing to surgery by having them look at your eye.

this... also, age is huge and just like everything in medicine...always consider medications: corticosteroids, tetracyclines, thyroid hormones, chmotherapeutics are known to cause this :O
