I think the whole idea of running/training in your target/max heart rate is a bit tedious.. maybe im just lazy...

i just run, run, run until i cant feel my legs and im sweating a lot/getting tired/fatigued

youre still getting all the benefits of running without having to keep track of numbers and times (unless youre training for time and not just overall cardio)

I don't think you can actually improve unless you have specific goals to work up to. So like completely 10 laps in 8 minutes then the next week doing it in 7:30 minutes.

If you do the same run at the same pace every week then what's the point?

HR/WR relationship is too complex to keep track of during a workout and get meaning from it imo. fuck dat shit
