With db you don't have to worry as much about ''bar path''

80 is pretty heavy tbh, idk how much u weigh though, but if your 1rm is around your bodyweight, then that's pretty impressive. my use your legs u mean a push press?

how bout your bench? I did 77lbs for 5 but I bench 181.5 for 5

Do you do seated db press and standing ohp?
Seated is usually easier for most people.

I am super weak in db however, done ~195lbs standing OHP but I have struggle a bit doing like 6 reps with ~70lbs db's seated.

Yeah never tested my 1RM on seated DB. I could get 100s for two w/ wrist straps (never used) I'm sure for 1 and I weight 180 currently, and yes push press.

Used to rep 225 5x2, had to take a break cuz shoulder injury I'm about where you're at right now currently. I'll hit 305 by end of September tho

yeah, seated db vs standing ohp/military. I guess you can use a bit of leg drive in seated db. 195 standing OHP o_o holy fuk... I guess you practice that movement a lot cuz of oly lifts?

80s is pretty nuts tho. that's more than my db chest press.

I can't even imagine a 1rm with dbs.. you get quite a bit out of the stretch reflex, and getting them into a decent starting position would be tough. you're going for a 305 push press by sept??
