I went to the doctor a back in January, got a x-ray. He said based on it, my AC joints were slightly widened. I got an MRI done, and I got two indications of possible SLAP lesions in both shoulders, but after performing the tests for stability etc, he said I don't need surgery.

My question is, does this shit ever go away? I havent lifted in so long, I miss the intensity of training. I mean I can kind of do cardio, which is fine, but nothing compares to lifting.

The only thing that can be done is resting too, according to him. Is there any kind of stretches I can do to correct the issue? I did a lot of over head press and that's how it started to begin with.

Thank u bros

If you never stretched after lifting then yes that's probably why your problems started. I'd recommend hanging from a bar to stretch out your shoulders and surrounding muscles.

Also rolling the muscles around your shoulder with a ball can help loosen the muscles up like massage.

Never went to do a doctor but I believe I have an impingement. Only hurts on the negative of bench and sometimes bb flies. Took time off from benching, started back up and the pain wasn't as bad but still noticeable. I doubt it will ever heal fully.

Taking a break isn't enough to help it heal, you need to encourage it to heal also - eg via stretching, mobility training

Try doing band exercises :)

And this. Avoid movements that cause pain, i can't stress the importance of it.

Arm rotations with a wooden bar and without, band exercises, stretches, just turn and raise your arms around to find out how you can stretch them.

Alright thank you for the advice. Does anyone have a guide or video I can use that's effective? I don't want to go to PT again, it's like $40 dollars a visit... don't want to do that every time.

Go to a pt once and ask if you can take notes and have them go through a full stretch progression.
