2000 Calories isn't bad, depends on your current weight/physique.
You should aim to lose 1-2lb of fat each week.
Weigh yourself once a week, your weight could just be the same now depending on what you ate the day before / bathroom.
Stick to it.
all i know is everyday i eat well and i go to the gym hard
