Does anyone know why this drug has such a high (1 in 10) side affect to getting colds?
It might just be a coincidence, but after I take it during allergy season I feel after a few weeks I will get a cold.

Like I said might just be a coincidence, but why is that side affect for a cold so high?

In asthma, leukotriene-mediated effects include a number of airway actions, including bronchoconstriction, mucous secretion, vascular permeability, and eosinophil recruitment.
It would probably also have a lesser effect on other pro-inflammatory (infection fighting) cells too... many use leukotrienes/LTRs
it also effects the mucous of the lining of the respiratory tract which is essential for preventing sickness... mucous is constantly produced in healthy people in small amounts and moves upwards to lubricate (maintaining the health of the respiratory tract) and to trap bacteria where it is either coughed up or swallowed.
