http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/pierce34.htm

looking for opinions on this guys perceptive, little bit of reading but it is interesting.

Pretty much he's saying do a 50% protein / 40% carb / 10% fat diet
and control your blood sugar/ insulin levels at all times so when you do go into a anabolism state the insulin is a greater value than if you always had it booming.

he also stats about your anabolic window after your workout is the typical protein + fast digesting carb (dextrose) right away after the work out. he says study prove after your training the anabolic window actually has benefits up to 3 hours so your second meal should be 30min after your liquid shake, containing whole foods protein/Low GI carb after the second meal he said you should wait 1 hour before consuming the 3rd whole food protein/carb meal. after the third meal he said you will have a 1hr and 30min to consume the final 4th meal for your anabolic window ......

seems a little extreme but hey... who knows. heard of people claiming building muscle on a low carbs and high protein.

i workout at 7Pm, this would be a savage thing to follow lol

Ughhh i can see someone getting deep into it if you're working up to a performance. Like physical competition.

But that's a bit insane.

All this just to look sexy and beautiful in front of people?

What works for one person might not be perfect for another person.
So either way you have to find that perfect thing that suits your body.

I mean think about how everyone varies when it comes to digesting certain foods efficiently and how it reacts to YOUR body.

A person who lives in India who grew up eating lots of plants based food might not be so healthy when he adopts a meat only eat with zero carbs

In sports and athleticism they focus on recovery time, strength, and endurance. So the science behind it is insane...all through out the world.

The science behind body building is iffy for me cause it's based on recovery, and growth. Not much on health at all.

im confused but i just smoked like 2 grams so idk

seems like carb backloading to me, theres no evidence that it helps with gaining muscle or mass, the rule of thumb is IIFYM

spiking your insulin levels increases risk of diabeetus and seems unnecessary

I know what use to work for me but i haven't heard much about this 50/40/10 diet but it defiantly interests me.

i do have 6 years of training under my belt but a lot of it was off and on. i was shredded 2 years ago on diet that consisted of 2x Bw of protein 2x Bw of carbs and around 90grams of fat.
i was doing intense labor daily and stayed shredded.

this is a picture of me back then at 198 shredded i do believe, i use to come on this forum all the time. currently i'm sitting at 200lbs not super fat but a little belly on me.

it isn't talking about having it sky high, its talking about controlling the levels so it doesn't go too high.

he's saying only have 20-30g of carbs in those meals.
