I'm thinking of beginning to work out my abs in between the days where I rest my upper body & arms.
I don't do legs. Simply because my legs are already thick from playing sports my whole life and staying athletic.

But my question here is, is it pointless?

Because my diet consists of foods that aren't so healthy. Such as pizza 1-2 times a week, desserts, snacks, etc and I have no intentions of changing that. :)
I do eat good foods very often though, like chicken, pasta, eggs, salad, soup, etc.
I'm 6'0 170lbs atm, so my stomach is considered skinny so abs would become noticeable. It would be for looks, so 6pac or bust.

As long as you are getting the calories and protein in, doing ab exercises will build muscle in that area, just the same as any other muscle group. So of course it's worthwhile!

The problem is that eating shit all the time means your body fat % will probably be too high to see the ab muscles you've built, but as you're thin you might not even have that problem.

Forget the abs, I can almost guarantee your legs aren't as thicke as you anticipate. Got measurement

This. Squats, deads, and OHP will give you plenty of core work just from stabilizing. Not to mention doing squats and deads will help with your sports and athletic lifestyle.

If you're not doing leg work, you might as well not be working out at all, tbh. You're missing out on so much.
