So, Rogue Fitness recently put up a promo vid with Bjornsson, on their FB page.

He may not be the strongest Strongman in the world, but to average folks (and GoT geeks), he's probably the most famous.

Good for him. If he's able to make a career (esp. a good Hollywood career) out of being "that big motherf?!ker", more power to him.

He will be Conor's trainingpartner for his upcoming fight :)

The Mountain, I fail to see how his lifestyle, or that of any powerlifter / strongman is fitness related.

He is, true.

But most competitors are fat slobs.

Good for him to branch out and get more exposure.

Fat slobs that still have enough muscle mass to squat a 600 lb yoke (in addition to being likely 4 or 5 times as much as you have), the anaerobic capacity to move it x distance and the aerobic capacity to recover quick enough to perform training sets of said exercise. What makes you think a little body fat makes someone incompetent as an athlete. The fact remains that the most effective way to ensure you're gaining as much muscle as possible is to optimize your training and sleep in addition to eating slightly more than you truly need. They're a little overweight because that's what it takes to be on top of certain sports

i think he is referring to the definition of fitness, and while they are strong as hell they are also quite unhealthy.

Depending on how cleanly they eat perhaps, but you'd be surprised how protective heavy exercise is of the body. A lot of them are probably in good health
