Does fiber count as calories? I remember reading before that fiber isn't digested by the body and doesn't count towards carbs in a keto diet...so if it's not digested does that mean it doesn't count as calories?

depends on the type of fiber and your body's natural microbiome.... some types like soluble fibers can be broken down to yield roughly 1.5 calories per gram or something... idk cuz nobody usually calculates that specifically... but using the estimates you probably do (do you lick the plate clean, measure every gram of food, oil, regulate your sleep cycle and calculate rates for body metabolic rate increase on days after exercise, the ~20 calories in your day won't make a difference

Too little so it won't make a difference.

fiber will be included in the total amount calories of what you're eating

stop worrying about it and eat the food lol

the fiber is indigestible to you besides microflora in the large intestines which consumes negligible fractions of kcal

I track it similarly to sodium, except wanting to hit the daily recommended amount for a healthy intestine. I believe an average adult needs 15g per day.
I just put food into my fitness pal and if it has fiber then it'll accumulate but I don't actively track the calories associated with it.
If I eat enough greens though out the day and cereala/ironl then I don't worry about. If I feel I ate a lot of protons and nothing else then I'll get a Quest bar there (15g fiber) in one bar.

If you don't get enough then I don't even see it has an issue tbh. I focus more on weekly goals and what my body tells me. If I'm shitting 5 times a day then obv eat less solid food and lay of the fiber
