May seem like a dumb question but you see some of these strongman guys like Eddie Hall and I wonder how come they don't make more money by playing like in the NFL?

Is it because they aren't fat enough to be linemen? Like, these guys can lift more than linemen and they have less fat.
I am assuming that these guys are also conditioned.

it comes down to athleticism. Most of these big strong men have shit mobility and coordination. They run like they just shit their pants because they're too bulky, and they're pretty slow.

Even linemen need to be quick laterally so they don't get embarrassed by mobile Line backers who are coming in on a blitz

or motor engrams. strong men train to be strong men, athletes train to be athletes. to be put simply. their bodies are environmentally influenced to perform said actions through years of training. apples and oranges. even more simple.

I would draw a comparison between musicians. Sure they can all read and write music, but they specifically train to 1 instrument to be the best they can be in that aspect.

Strong men train to move heavy shit. Sure some might be coordinated enough to play the sport, but to do it at such a high level would prove difficult. Playing sports isn't all about moving heavy shit.
Plus they've lived their whole lives (or most of it) lifting weights and training for this. It would be difficult to transfer the skillset.

E/ also the pool for what sports they'd be "useful" in would be small. Soccer, basketball, golf, swimming, running, hockey, tennis, baseball, volleyball, cricket, badminton, biking, lacrosse, etc wouldn't really be good sports for them to transfer their skills to without having to sacrifice strength/mass

Would love to see two teams of strongmen compete against each other in volleyball LOL
