Question about sleeping. For a person (my gf) that can only get about 6 hours of sleep a day. I was wondering if it's better to sleep 6 hours straight at night or 5 hours at night with a one hour afternoon nap

5 hours + 20*3 naps instead is probably better.
/e Actually I think 6 hours straight is better.

so: 6 hours > 5 hours + 20*3 > 5 hours + 1 hour

6 hours straight is better IMO.

5 hours is zombie mode when you wake up.
1 hour nap is still zombie mode when you wake up from nap.

I haven't had more than 6 hours sleep in the last ~18 days some days as low as 2, I actually can't sleep more than 6 hours now, I wake up and if I force myselft to fall back asleep I'll sleep another 6 hours and feel like shit all day when i wake up

considering the amount of time it takes to fall asleep for me, taking a 1 hour nap isnt worth it

id say just do as many hours straight as possible, obviously within reason

REM sleep dictates it's best to sleep 6 or 9 hours to feel completely rested.

I follow this and my sleep routine is perfect.

I sleep 6 during the week, 9 during the weekends.
