So I went to the doc today, and I got some inflammation in my AC joints in my shoulders. I just want to hear from other people and what you have done regarding lifting with these issues. The more I lift, the worse the toll on my joints and ligaments are.

What can I do to keep lifting to avoid these issues? I know there are like Rehbands for knees for squatting, but is there even anything one could use to support your shoulders?

I really don't want to stop lifting, but the more my shit keeps getting fucked up, the better it would probably be for me in the long run.

Thanks for the help and input!

Damn, sorry to hear about your situation. Are you better now?

I really do not want to go for any of the shots, and just wait it out without lifting. The doc said wait like 6 weeks and see how it is. I was considering looking up some stretches and stuff, but I'm just going to wait the 6 weeks before diving into any exercises so the inflammation will go away.

thats the general thing ive seen online if it is AC joint injury, that it takes 6 to 8 weeks to heal on its own

but my pain still comes and goes

at times its better at times its not

right now its a bit better

but its been better for like 3 or 4 days, then out of nowhere i was in pain again for 7 days straight

comes and goes, and this is without lifting any weights, might be from daily movements idk

i think my issue is more than just AC joint, it seems to be my scapula as well where the pain comes from

yeah im no doctor or anything, but sodium naproxen to help with pain as needed, ice it as needed, dont rehab for a few weeks, i tried this and it seemed to work at first and then the pain came back, i think partially from using the shoulder for rehab

Do you still consistently lift with the pain? Or you are still off from lifting right now and it will randomly hit you for 7 days straight like you said? That's pretty strange if that's the case, but there are good days and bad days I suppose.

i have not lifted any weights in like 4 months now

but i did rehab shit with cables for scapula and rear delt strengthening stuff, with very low weight, slow and controlled movements. did this around 1 or 2 months ago. but stopped after around 10-12 days of doing this. because the pain came back pretty bad.
