I'm 6'0 and weigh at 176 right now with about 14% body fat.

I want to be lean at around 170-172 so how much more mass in terms of pounds would I have to gain to start cutting? And how long (working out 4 times a week) should I be cutting for?

Simple, take what you eat now and eat less, depending on how much less you eat will determine the rate of the loss, to much can be detrimental. Should also note that your goal is a loss of 6 pounds so pay attention to water weight as you could cut 6 pounds of water weight in a day.

if you're 14% body fat, you probably need to lose more than 5 lbs....

you could always just slow bulk for an entire year then cut 3-4 months next spring,

stop worrying about the numbers, everybody is different
