there's a couple things going on here. He's short with typical short man legs. Reason I mention that is for a couple reasons.

Before I get into it, I don't want to take away from the feat of strength here. It's crazy impressive.

As far as leverages go, people who have a long torso and short legs relative to height (as a lot of short men do), particularly the femur, have a significant natural advantage to do squats because they're able to collapse down relatively quickly without as much hinging; the forward lean. Because of this they can maintain a fairly vertical torso and this lift requires less hip and ankle mobility to hit the bottom of the lift. reason I bring that up is because the lifter can use the momentum of dropping to rebound. Makes for a deadly high bar squat and beast quads though.

I remember watching a video of a guy who was a 600+lb squatter and he did high bar squats because he had the mobilty to do it. He specifically mentioned that his high bar squat was better than his powerlifting squat because he was able to utilize the rebound at the bottom while high bar squatting.

Can't remember his name though.
