i tried doing 2400 calories or less a day. Felt like shit pretty much... Limiting myself to food and very small portions was hard af. I did this for two weeks and dropped 10 lbs already. but I want to burn fat of course. I did my research and I am going to eat more but more of healthy foods and throughout the day. I'm not gonna limit myself because that shit destroys me mentally. Gonna keep the cardio up, eat only healthy foods, and see where that takes me. Thoughts?

Consider calorie intake always. Eat small meals throughout the day so you don't feel intense hunger and keep the cardio up. I normally would eat every two and a half hours. A small meal can consist of a few fruits or some crackers, etc.

Depending on how much you want to cut, get your mileage in and don't overfeed or deprive yourself either. Find your balance and then run with it.

Takes some trial and error to find how much calories your body will lose weight at. 2400 I would say is way too low. I've been at 6'5 235 before and I would start cutting at like 3200 calories. That number doesn't directly relate to you, but I would say you definitely started too low. The days where you are training and burning more cals your intake should be higher on those days as well..

yeah you're right. Based on your knowledge of caloric deficits, you couldn't be wrong.
