shoulder injury been gettin very very slightly better over time

been like 5 or 6 weeks no gym. orthopedic dude rushed me out and barely examined much, just looked for pain from certain movements and more or less immediately thought it was my AC joint cause ive been lifting for a long time

i wish he woulda looked at my scapula, or felt around the bone structure. anything more in depth than what he did.... was stupidly rushed

he ended up telling me to get an MRI. this would cost me around $750

so instead after 5 weeks of rest, ive started my own basic scapular rehab exercises. i think its somewhat helping

shoulder pain still everyday and every second of the day, but bit less....

so would chiropractor help?

any1 been to one?

im afraid they might fuk up my shoulder more than it is now?

what do u go for? just because? or why did u start?

have u seen more than one chiropractor? wondering if u have noticed big difference between different people? or all around the same

i have gone to chiropractors for a long time, but my most recent one was extremely skilled and worked with a lot of pro athletes
-BS in Exercise Science
-Doctor of Chiropractic
-CSCS
-Various training in alternative medicine (trigenics, qigong, cupping)

so every time i went in it was usually a movement and pain assessment, he would ask me what i'm doing in my current training, he would feel around and do his adjustments (sometimes add in alternative stuff like cupping after the adjustments), then he would give a plan of stuff for his physical therapy people to put me through..usually some combination of exercises, TENS therapy, and ultrasound - it got really interesting when i was doing exercises while also being hooked up to the TENS unit

i think i have seen 4 or 5 chiropractors since i was like 13, some of them sucked terribly, but this guy had all sorts of crazy shit up his sleeve

so, if you do go to one, be selective if you can...and, it would be recommended that you get some sort of imaging done regardless (i already had a CT scan of my spine to take in to my chiropractor, and he wanted that before he would do any adjustments)

yeah I had IT band problems in my left leg. couldn't even walk without extremely sharp pain

went to chiropractor, got a few adjustments and it started feeling better immediately. after he told me my insurance no longer coevered it and he wanted to treat me for 6 months like 3 times a weeka nd it was $8,000 I said peace out brotrout.
