been trying to get into shape lately, i currently look like this:

i've been working out at home for about a month now but all i have are a couple of dumbbells with not a lot of weight, i mean it's a lot for me to do bicep curls, tricep extensions, lateral raises, but thats about it. anyway i decided i wanna take it to the next level and get fabio style pecs so i just signed up for a gym. went through the whole process, paid 100$ for a initiation fee, got my membership card, all set to go. afterwords, i was planning to start working out for real. however, i reached the free weight area of the gym and i quickly did a 180 when i saw the sheer amount of people participating in heavy lifting. i have bad anxiety with people, i stopped talking to all my friends like 5 years ago but i have a gf who ive been with for 6.5 years plus i text my old best friend once in a while who is away at college, but anyway the point is that being in an area with lots of people makes me really uncomfortable at this point since i've devolved into a hermit. my old friend goes to this gym though and he told me if i wanted to come back tomorrow around 9 am in the morning there's not a lot of people. so i peaced that place out and i guess i'll try again tomorrow in the morning ;_; at least since i paid the money for the membership i have something that's making me forcing me to take advantage of it or it will be a waste.. i guess that's something D: whatever i hope i make progress

You will have to just overcome it mate, I remember when I first started I was the exact same way, like 10" arms and all the business... It is scary I know, but really think about it, people are there to help better themselves, and exactly that, they can give a fuck load less about what you are doing, even if you're doing it wrong, most people won't give you the time of day even if you try to talk to them lmao.. I remember when I was having trouble dumbbell pressing 25's and 30's... now im pressing 90's and 100's and they care even less... I thought everyone was staring at me but truly nobody cares brah, just keep doing you, if you have to, find a quiet corner in the gym and make a station over there, drag a bench, and bring what dumbbells you need over to it, do your own thing, fuck what other people think cause at the end of the day the only person whos opinion thats going to matter when it comes to you, is yours.

Let it be known to you, the people in this forum... 10x more judgemental than 99% of the people you're going to see at the gym.

Take some moderately weighted dumbells and bring them into the toilet cubicle and lift there. Also eat your lunch in there too
