so i went for a head kick and my friend put up his elbow and i kicked him right in the elbow. My big toe to where it connects to my feet was COMPLETELY purple. Like a huge bruise. looked like i popped a vein and their was blood under my skin. IT was INSANELY purple .

with in 45 minutes all the purple went away and now it's just red.

How is that even possible? I'm posting this because it happened and it just doesnt seem possible.

How does blood just go away when it was obviously under my skin? lol

I'm a little shocked. I kind of what to know wtf just happened.

ANYONE experience this before? My feet is hella boney but i doubt that has anything to do with it.

Any nurses or sports therapist or doctors around here know what happened?

It doesnt make sense

This is the thing about pussies. Everyone goes to the hospital for fucking everything.

last time i was there....2 people showed up at the emergency cause they have a small allergic reaction. The nurse gave them a benedryl and they just sat there and left. One guy had a little bit of hives on his arm. THe other seemed fine.

If i went to the hospital for every little injury like this....i'd be at the hospital 1-2 times a week.

Jesus christ.

Fucking meows man. Get real

It happens. Back when I trained MMA, I used to land kicks on people's elbows when deflecting and it HURT and left bruises. Although it's unlucky your toe got smashed in the process.

Basically, the bruising is a result of the immediate trauma and it will take some time for your injury to recover. I don't think it's necessary to visit a hospital for a bruise...especially when you're not feeling more urgent-like symptoms: dizziness, nausea, fainting, etc or if the bruise lasts more than two weeks.

Just make sure to avoid heat for the first few days, apply ice and compression throughout the day, and elevate the area you injured. Most importantly...avoid training until you heal - I know this one is a struggle because I surely struggled with it.

Happy recovery!

Edit: typo - meant 'HEAT' not 'head'.

i've had this happen and seen it happen a few times, all from sparring. it looks freaky, but there's no pain, right? don't worry about it. i was told it's a popped blood vessel, but am not sure if that's really what it is.

i hit my buddy pretty good in the forehead with a hook, some time later the entire left side of his forehead was looking like that. but it was completely gone by the next time i saw him 7 days later.
