did chest the other day.
and wowowo inclined bench wrecked my arms and shoulders
cant seem to get over this doms
what are you guys tips to this?

ive been told amino acids. but....does this actually work?

and what if I don't have access to a massage or anything of that nature,

proteins are made up of amino acids. they work..

that whole idea is retarded, though.

if you don't work out much and you hammer a muscle group, eat all the protein you want. you're still going to be sore.


sedulous workout regiments will make the doms less egregious

Just keep working out. Also you say incline wrecked your shoulders and arms. Incline works the chest, stop flaring so much you will strain the shoulder joint over time and the goal is longevity.

Amino acids are a waste of money. You shouldn't need a massage, just do the exercise correctly.

stay hydrated

stretch out the muscles that are feeling the doms

i rarely get doms, unless i take a break from gym more than 4 days

but when i do if its my legs, then to help bloodflow ill do like 20 squats without any weight just to warmup the muscles if its been over 24 hours since doms started

I love doms lol that's one of the better feelings in life IMO.. Feels good to flex and stretch that muscle

Perhaps the focus on the chest may have been lacking if you are that sore in your arms and shoulders

But like others have said proteins will help but you'll still be sore in most cases

Time and consistency help, but it should just be a consistent cycle of progression.
