Hello people.

I've been trying to gain weight for quite some time now, but no matter how hard I try, I seem to be unable to gain weight.
My question is : how do I gain weight?
To me, it seems, no matter how much I eat my weight doesn't increase. I am a thin person by nature.

I really am a beginner in terms of working out - went to the gym with a buddy today and now I can barely raise my arms - is that normal?

And: Is there any general rule on how much weight to use regarding my height/weight?

ANY information is highly appreciated.

Thanks!

What kind of weight you want to gain?

Muscle or fat?

My advice if you're serious about going to the gym. Start with some creatine and see how it affects your body.

I'd like to gain muscle.
Yeah, the guy I've worked out with uses it. I don't know much about it though..

Don't use that creatine trash it has really bad long term effects, and side effects.
Or if you're going to just follow the guidelines here and you should be fine ( but honestly you don't need it ) http://www.webmd.com/vitamins-supplements/ingredientmono-873-creatine.aspx?activeingredientid=873&activeingredientname=creatine
Sounds like you're weak naturally, go to the gym for a few months get a real routine down and see if your weight increases along with strength. If it doesn't then slowly supplement with creatine, also make sure your eating habits are on part. Otherwise your training will be for nothing and you'll see negative results.

eat plenty of grains like oats and brown rice
if you cook at home, cook with a good amount of olive oil
nut spreads are your friend. find a really delicious peanut butter cause you get tired of that shit quick
if none of this shit works, mass gainer shake. rivalus mass gainer is a good one

Well, couldn't I just start with the mass gainer shake?
Or use both actually?

"negative results"
meaning you won't gain weight or muscle like you want

maybe. i'd always recommend getting as much of your nutrition as possible from whole foods rather than powders and supplements. mass gainer as sort of a last-ditch effort kind of thing. that's just my own personal opinion on things, but it IS an option.

Yes lets emphasize the first part... A lot of people in this section and real life seem to forget it
