Lifting straps give you a false sense of strength and also your "grip" won't develop like it naturally should
You see the guys who lift 500 dead lifts with straps and are struggling? Without those they can probably barely hit 315 there's a reason you have hands.
Develop them correctly and skip out on those stupid straps.

If your grip is seriously lacking then I suggest doing pull ups.

I call them hooks, left and right hooks.

Some days I call them vices. Most days I just call them forearms though.
