Doc told me I'm not supposed to do any heavy lifting (over 25 pounds) for 6 weeks since my surgery (It's been 2 weeks), but I don't think I can do another 4 weeks of that...

Anyone ever lifted after surgery?

putting tension on the scar tissue might weaken it once its healed and its more likely to tear or whatever it was again, even if you dont injure yourself during your post-surg workouts

its best to take the whole 6 weeks unless youre willing to risk that

This
I broke my humerus and didnt let it heal all the way before working out.
it slows down the healing process alot.
you might as well wait until it heals fully then go ham.

What was your surgery on? Are there exercises you can go super light on that don't work that area of your body?

Either way, you really should wait the 6 weeks. Otherwise it'll go from 6 weeks, to 12 weeks, to 16 weeks, to...

Don't do shit then. Core is used in almost every exercise to some extent...last thing you need is for some internal problems from over stressing your core.
