I recently started working out again -- at home. Just simple, calisthenics workouts. This time around, my left elbow appears to "crack" when I do a push up.

Any idea what causes this crack? It doesn't hurt or cause discomfort, but I don't think this is normal either. Could I be lacking some type of vitamin? Should I get an X-Ray? Or is this common?

If you had an injury recently then maybe scarring in the area? Since there is no pain id say it's scarring and nothing to worry about.

I have this on my right shoulder

if its not painful, its nothing to worry about

sometimes its a tendon that rubs onto a bone or something of the sort, stretching a bit beforehand might help?

There are many reasons but at your age I wouldn't worry.

Your joints pop when you go in a full motion, so reasons for the elbow popping are:

- cartilage wear.
- uneven healing from injury as post #2 said.
- tight ligaments.
- no real reason; air in joints.
